We built Honest Trolley to help families save money, not to harvest your data. Here's exactly what we collect — and what we don't.

What we collect
Honest Trolley does not require account registration and does not collect names, email addresses, or payment information directly. The only personal data we may receive is what you voluntarily submit via the contact form (your email address and message).
Browser-local data
Any household profile or preferences you configure on the site (number of people, children's ages, pets, etc.) are stored in your browser's local storage only. This data is not transmitted to our servers as part of normal site operation, however it may be accessible to us or third parties through browser developer tools or extensions.
Cookies and analytics
We may use anonymous analytics tools (such as page-view counters) to understand how the site is used in aggregate. These do not identify individual visitors. If you have a browser extension that blocks tracking scripts, it will not affect your ability to use the site.
Amazon affiliate tracking
When you click an affiliate link, Amazon may set its own cookies on your device to attribute purchases. This tracking is governed by Amazon's own Privacy Notice. We receive only aggregate commission data — not your name, address, or order details.
Data sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. We do not buy data lists or build advertising profiles.
Data retention
Contact-form submissions are retained only as long as necessary to respond to your enquiry. Browser-local data persists until you clear your browser storage or use the site's own reset option.
Your rights
Under the Australian Privacy Act 1988, you have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of any personal information we hold about you. To exercise these rights, please contact us.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of the site after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
